The next time you find yourself in the mood for some great Irish fare, whether it be food or drink, or both, there’s no need to travel any further than O’Malley’s Irish Grill in downtown Conway. This gem of a restaurant and pub, located on the corner of Harkrider and Main Street, serves up traditional Irish food, among other choices, that would rival any corner establishments in Ireland!
In additon to the Cottage Pie, Fish & Chips, and Bangers and Mash, O’Malley’s menu also adds its own special touch with Irish Nachos, Dublin Lawyer Shrimp (also offered with pasta), O’Malley’s Corned Beef sandwich, and of course their Irish Stew. And don’t forget to try their Boxty. These tradional Irish Potato Pancakes made with mashed potatoes, cheese and bacon will keep you coming back for more.
O’Malley’s is also a very well-rounded restaurant, offering delicious food options no matter what you’re in the mood for.
According to owner Jon Thomason, “Cottage Pie is one of our most popular items, but we also offer American food, and a lot of seafood. We also offer specials from time to time. I’m really proud of our food and service. It’s our people who make O’Malley’s go. We have a great crew and our service is second to none.”
Having eaten here on more than one occasion, we can personally attest that their people and service are always great. And speaking of their American food … the burgers are perfection! All choices start with ground Angus Beef with your choice of cheese and all of the trimmings. The Hot O’Malley’s Burger adds a little kick with fried jalapeno and banana peppers, and house made Russian sauce. The Dublin Burger always pleases with swiss cheese topped with O’Malley’s Guinness BBQ sauce, caramelized onions and mushrooms.
Their robust menu also includes Guiness Steak Tips, Pan-Seared Ribeye, Blackened Chicken Pasta, Chicken Fried Chicken, a Grilled Chicken Dinner, and both Chicken Bacon or Steak Quesadillas. If you want to sway to the “surf” side of surf and turf, you can opt for the Shrimp Quesadillas, Blackened Shrimp Pasta (also available as a Shrimp & Chicken combo), or go all-in with the Fish Tacos, or a grilled or blackened Grouper filet with a lemon caper crème sauce.
If you just want to pop in for a quick bite, don’t “sleep” when it comes to their sandwich menu, which features a Reuben, Philly Steak, French Dip, Grilled Chicken, a thick cut BLT, and of course the aforementioned Corned Beef, many of which are featured on their daily Lunch Specials.
They also offer Soups and Salads, a Kids menu, and of course a great Dessert menu featuring cheesecake, Key Lime pie, and a decadent Lava Cake with a liquid chocolate core.
O’Malley’s has also become a favorite hangout to wind down after work with your favorite beverage or cocktail. With a pub that features several TV’s for sports fans, great music, and a very impressive bar serving up daily drink specials, be sure to stop in! Or, if you're looking for a fun spot to have a business meeting, they have a really nice meeting room as well.
We’re definitely not food critics, or in the business of rating restaurants, but if we were … Slainte’! (Irish for Cheers!). This is a first-class establishment that Conway should be very proud of!
